Ledger is a free-to-play prediction game by Martori Studio. There is no real money anywhere in it: no deposits, no cash-outs, nothing of monetary value to win or lose. You make calls on real sports and culture with a virtual currency called Float, and every call is graded against what actually happened. It is a game, not gambling. 18+.
Is Ledger gambling?
No. Ledger is a free-to-play prediction game, not gambling. There is no real money anywhere in it: no deposits, no cash-outs, and nothing of monetary value to win or lose. You make calls with Float, a virtual currency that refills daily, and results are graded against real events. Ledger is for players 18 and over.
Where and how do I play Ledger? Is it an app or a website?
Ledger is played directly in your web browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile at ledger-app.io. No downloads, installations, or app store approvals are required. It is the full, live product, not a demo or prototype. You can play immediately as a guest with progress stored on your device, or generate a recovery code to sync your record across devices.
Is Ledger free?
Yes. Ledger is completely free to play. There are no deposits, no purchases, no paywalls, and no ads. Float, the currency you spend on calls, refills every day on its own, and running out is a stopping point rather than a prompt to pay. Nothing in Ledger can be bought with real money.
What is a free prediction game?
A free prediction game lets you call the outcomes of real events across sports, culture, and world markets, using a virtual currency instead of money. Your calls are graded against what actually happened, and your record is the score. Ledger is one: real markets, real settlement, no dollars anywhere in the loop.
Is Ledger related to the Ledger crypto wallet company?
No. Ledger the prediction game has no connection to Ledger the hardware wallet company at ledger.com. We do not make crypto wallets, custody assets, or sell hardware. The shared name is a coincidence: ours refers to the record of your calls. If you are looking for the wallet company, you want ledger.com.
Is Ledger available in all 50 states? Why does no state gambling license apply?
Ledger is available to adults 18 and older in all 50 US states. State sports betting and gambling licenses apply only to platforms that accept real-money wagers, process deposits, or redeem monetary prizes. Because Ledger has no real money, no purchases, no deposits, and zero prize redemption, it is a free entertainment video game rather than a gambling operator.
Can I win real money on Ledger?
No. Nothing goes in and nothing comes out. There are no deposits, no withdrawals, no cash prizes, and no way to convert Float or Standing into money or anything of value. The economy is closed on purpose: the moment virtual winnings could be cashed out, Ledger would be a casino, and it is built not to be one.
What is the Shadow Line?
The Shadow Line is Ledger's running answer to one question: if your calls had been real bets at a real sportsbook, what would the book have taken from you by now? It is computed from your actual graded calls and shown in plain dollars. It deliberately understates. Nothing was taken; the Shadow Line is what did not happen to your money.
How is this different from Kalshi or a sportsbook?
Kalshi is a federally regulated exchange where every contract is real money, and a sportsbook takes real wagers and keeps a share of them. Ledger takes nothing and pays nothing. You make the same kind of calls on real events, but with a virtual currency, and what you build is a record rather than a balance.
Is there a free version of Kalshi?
Kalshi is a real-money exchange, and its markets trade in dollars; the closest it offers is a sandbox for testing, not a game. If you want the prediction-market experience without money at stake, Ledger is a free-to-play alternative: the same kind of calls on real events, settled against real results, with a virtual currency instead of cash.
How do markets settle?
Every market settles on what actually happened. Sports settle on real finals, linescores, and boxscores from ESPN data. Crypto markets settle on the real market price. Culture and world markets settle through a source-gated check of the public record, and only after their resolve date. Verdicts are won, lost, push, or pending. If an outcome cannot be verified, the market stays pending. There is no house call.
What is Float?
Float is the virtual currency you spend to make calls. It refills every day: 500 as a base, more with level and prestige, capped at 2,500 a day. It has no cash value, cannot be bought, and cannot be cashed out. Running out of Float is a stopping point, not a paywall.
What is Standing?
Standing is the permanent record of your correct calls against reality. It moves when a board call, a Gauntlet entry, or a Duel settles right. Chance games never earn it or touch it: not The Wheel, not The Ascent, not War, not a card table, not a cold streak, not a challenge, not a spin. Nothing you can buy multiplies it. Standing has no cash value and cannot be traded. It is the only score in Ledger that matters.
What is the Dividend?
The Dividend is free Float that falls on every player. 750 falls each week, and another 250 falls for every 25 rest days the community takes together. The Dividend is never triggered by losses, never tied to how much you play, and there is no countdown attached to it anywhere. It rewards rest, not volume.
Does Scout give betting picks?
Scout, Ledger's companion, never pushes picks on you unprompted, never promises a win, and never manufactures urgency. He explains the board and answers your questions, and if you ask him where he leans he will tell you, always framed as a read rather than a recommendation. Scout publishes one Call of the Day, chosen once and never re-rolled, and his wins and losses go in the same permanent record, so you can judge him on results instead of promises.
What's actually in Ledger?
The Board holds live games, On Air shows and events, championship futures from ESPN standings, player props, Pick6, and parlays. The Short Game is first five innings, first periods, first halves, and second halves. The Exchange prices stocks, indices, and commodities from the asset's own volatility. The Dividend is free Float every week, and again when the room rests. The Compass is your session budget and cool-off. The Shadow Line is what a real sportsbook would have taken from your graded calls. The Vault and The Seal hold named Level Track rewards, badges, and packs of your own graded calls. Circles are a six-character code and a shared board, not a pot. The Arcade is chance, gated, and Scout will never send you there. The Showdown is a daily Gauntlet, one-on-one Duels, and War. Who makes Ledger?
Ledger is made by Martori Studio, a small independent studio. You can reach us at hello@martori.studio. There are no ads in Ledger and never will be. The plan for revenue is an optional membership and licensing our responsible-play design, never your losses and never your attention.
Do I need an email to sign up?
No. Ledger asks for no email, no phone number, and no password. You choose a display name and receive a recovery code that restores your account if you change devices. You can also play as a guest without an account at all. Your guest progress is stored only on your device, never on our servers. If you chat with Scout, those messages are sent to be answered, as described in our privacy policy.
What happens to my data?
Very little, on purpose. Ledger collects no email and no phone number, so there is little to hold. Your data is never sold. You can export everything your account stores, and you can delete the account entirely from inside the app. The full details are in our privacy policy.
